I apologize for the n00b question. My google-fu fails.

How do I increase the amount of mana my casters have? (I have a priest [54] and a warlock [80]) and the amount of mana I have/the number of times I have to stop to drink is ridiculous. There's a mage in my guild with 20k mana!! I want that.

Mana-increasing tips? Or http://www.lmgtfy.com ?

Since my husband and I will be out of town from Dec 27th to Jan 17th we thought, "hey, let's cancel our accounts and save the $30!" My billing is on the 14th... we decided on the 13th.

It's now the 15th and I've gone two days without being in game. AND I HATE IT! I've been browsing my realm forums, can't post. I've been reading (and holy crap posting) wow_ladies to try and live vicariously through you guys. Even logged into IRC today (hi, Owakeri here).

Yeah... I'm not addicted, right? I'm half expecting to start feeling physical pain from withdrawel! This is crazy! Now I'm all "oh but my guild has a huge RP even on the 19th, I'll still be in town for that.. I could just re-sub". Or, "oh, Winter Veil, I can get more pets with that right? Already have the proto-drake, but there's the new BB King achievement... can't get it if I don't re-sub".

I EVEN PICKED UP A WARCRAFT NOVEL! I asked my husband to get me the non MMO battle chest for Christmas!

This is so sad! (Not sad enough that I can't share the funny with you guys, but still).

How have any of you coped with not being able to play? be it not being able to afford a month or just needing to step back to tend to, you know... real life. Gah, I've had two days of no wow and I still haven't done any laundry or dishes. Instead of hitting "refresh" on this topic maybe I should do that. Yeah. Chores. Domestic Chores. Back later *twitch*

Dear DPS Warrior from Proudmoore in HFOS last night:

I am so sorry you had to put up with an insane pallytank (me), her enabling resto shammy boyfriend, and her two occasionally utterly raunchy friends. However, you completely made my day by the following:

--- many off color comments about friend's (lack of) sex life ---
Me: Oh god. Poor (DPS Warrior). He thinks we're all insane.
Friend 1: He's right!
Friend 2: And?!
DPS Warrior: (who has been silent the entire instance up until this point) I LOVE YOU!!!

I giggled out loud. Having been given the go ahead, we proceeded to drag you at our mercy through the rest of the ICC 5mans without trouble or incident, but with a tremendous amount of fun. I love you too, man and you're welcome to fall into my PuGs anytime.

Tons of love,
Me

Dear Proudmoore,

Every single person I've PuGGed with from your server has been awesome. Fun, a little whacky, polite, silly and serious when the situations called for it, always competent even when declaring oneself a noob. I love your entire server. Every single one of you. If I could convince my guildies to server transfer I would because clearly it's better there than here. Thank you for brightening every PuG I've shared with you.

Love,
the Pally Tank from Silver Hand who thinks she rolled on the wrong server

People don't seem to be taking this talent in a lot of the builds I've seen.

Any thoughts as to why not?

From WoWHead's comments on the talent:

Cleanse Spirit
7% of base mana
40 yd range
Instant cast
Cleanse the spirit of a friendly target, removing 1 poison effect, 1 disease effect, and 1 curse effect.

Rely on Druids or Mages to decurse instead, I guess? Plus, it gives the Shaman a chance to have a similar cleanse to a Paladin's, but with curse removal instead of magic.

So I got into my first lowbie dungeon pug on my pally. I put Ligs in there as a healer. I get to the instance (SM Cath) and mouse over people to check talents. Prot Pally...Fearl Druid...Prot Warrior....Resto Shaman.

Druid promptly drops into bear form.

Ranty McRantPants )

So after getting into a group with three tanks and a second healer, I am seriously considering the wisdom of taking Ligs into instances as a healer, which I *much* prefer than anything else. I don't like retting it up, so I am considering Taking ret to prot and making a macro that says: "I am the tank. If you pull before me, you will not be saved. If you taunt off of me, you will Not be saved. If you start DPSing before I have threat, You Will Not Be Saved. Kill order is [Skull], [x], [square]. Learn it, live it, love it."

I've been looking at Resto Shaman specs and Protection Paladin specs. I've seen a few different ones and I'm trying to get some advice from experienced players of the two classes.

Here's the #1 most popular Resto Spec according to WoWPopular.com: Resto Shaman: 0/16/55

Here's a spec someone I know has who is all about crit in addition to the usual spell power: Resto Shaman: 0/13/58

The big difference between the two is trading out (or in) Elemental Weapons with Healing Way. Thoughts from experienced Resto Shamans?

As for Protection Paladins, I've finally gathered 535+ in defense gear so I can dual spec into Protection for my (normally Holy) Paladin.

Here's the #1 most popular Protection spec according to WoWPopular.com: Protection Paladin: 5/54/12

I've also seen one that was only Prot and Retribution that looked good before: Protection Paladin: (roughly) 0/54/17

Any recommendations about Prot builds for someone just starting out at 535 in defense or what rotations to use?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if there was a list out there somewhere that tells you the average time it takes to do each dungeon? For example, a list that tells me how long it takes on average to do a run through Zul'Gurub, or Utgarde Keep? I've never run them before but I'd like to start doing some dungeons using the dungeon finder but alas I don't have huge volumes of time at the moment to do long instances. I don't want to put myself in the queue for a 4hr run, when I only have 2hrs to play etc.

thanks :)

"bah, sacred bond stuff is like cheating :P good for a fic maybe, but rp it's like giving your charrie an auto happy ending xD that's why most of my characters know eachother as friends lol it's more drama posibilities. :P In case you haven't noticed, I'm a fan of certain stereo types. :D"

Is it just me, or does it sound more like a drama killer to have a bunch of characters from one person standing around, backing each other up, and telling each other how great they are?

Sorry! This is a dumb question BUT how do I customize grid2 like I had grid1 customized? Like I want weakened soul to show up in the lower right, renew to show up in the lower left, that kind of stuff. I was fine with grid1, but grid2's config options are mysterious to me. I googled a few different things, but nothing helpful turned up. Thanks!

So ladies on the EU servers,

If you had a horrible noob-tank in your random Lich King Dungeon, that could've been me!

My paladin is 75 now, and this was my first time SRS tanking (and well, high level dungeons in general). It was Violet Hold. We wiped two times at the Xevozz dude. 2 times. And then I left. The healer kept telling me to 'get him away from the spores!' I assumed he meant the glowing ball things, and I tried, I really did. But failed.. apparantly.. So everyone was ofc noob tankz lol!11 Maybe I should've tried to tank lower level things first, but I went prot at 65 which is kind of late >.< So my first tanking experience ended with me crying. I have always been afraid of PVE stuff, being afraid of being in groups and just feeling like a sucky gamer in general. I enjoyed healing the SM this weekend on my priest way more. I dunno if it was the healing, or just low level dungeons. High level dungeons seem way scarier.

I read a bit on the Violet Hold WowWiki (and Xevozz's) but I don't feel like I got any wiser :( Is Violet Hold hard for a learning tank or are all dungeons like this? Maybe I'm just not the tanking type? x_x

Done! Thank you kindly.

Hello!

I'm putting together a banking/RP guild and I need signatures. If you have a moment, Deida the Draenei pally will be in the human starting area with a friend.

Server: Earthen Ring
Faction: Alliance
When: Now, until we've got all the sigs!

I'd very much appreciate the help!

Edit: Temporarily deleted and then reposted because I hit Enter too early.

Greetings all!

So, after neglecting my little huntard for far too long, I've been reading up on improvements (here and elsewhere). Although I know a BM spec isn't the hardest hitting, I'm going to stick with it as I like it quite a bit. I've already been working on armor improvement/changes and am going to redo my talent tree, but I have one question: since I have tamed several exotic pets, will I lose them when I reset my talents and have to find/tame/lvl them to 80 over again? Silly question, I'm sure, but would like to know what I'm facing with my talent redo. I'm assuming yes, but am wishing in vain for a different answer....

Sitting around, counting down the minutes to my last final, perhaps for 4-5 years maybe. Then afterwards, I get to come home and do the Winter Veil achievements! Yaaay.

Dear Ma'Ganis,

I am pleased to report that i was proven wrong about you. So far all i had in terms of LFG pugs were truly AWFUL players. and by awful i mean complete twats as well as just utter morons.

Rogues calling the group n*****s, a tank with 4.7k gs (basically in toc and some uld gear) need rolling on heroic blues to spite my undergeared warrior alt, and just people that made me nerd rage.

So. Thank you random LFG tool for letting me group up with the good guys from Mal'ganis. I was a very happy retri-heal-adin/warrior/hunter to find that yeah there are some wonderful people from that server. I hope to god i get to run with more great people.

Best wishes, Chika

ps: seriously tho. 80% of the peeps i get from mal'ganis are not fun to run with, or heal for. :|

Dear orc hunter from Thrall,

Sweet baby jesus. It hurt my soul to look upon your gear and realize... you are in Uld gear, with toc drops. (the shoulders, the wrists... D:) with Staff of Trickery... and the ICC 25m Mail helm that makes me, as a hunter for a main, cry. It also cuts me, to the quick when i realize you have nothing higher gemwise than +16 agil, and a +4 prismatic gem.

Your enchants are pvp, and even then it's shoulder and head only.

as a hunter who raids and has to compete with 2 hunters for the loot council's favor (;--;) you make me die a little inside. also need rolling on everything you could equip makes me a sad panda.

no love, the hunter that really wishes she'd never seen you.

ps. WTF?! you pet was on agressive the whole run. do you have any idea what happens when your pet charges the mobs before the tank can reach them? DO YOU? Bad mojo is what happens. >:[

Side note: I feel better now.

Dearest darlingist warrior "tanks" that my baby disc priest has been healing through such random classic instances as Gnomer, SFK, and the like,

It is called a shield. Shield. S-H-I-E-L-D. It makes you take a little less damage. I mean, I've kept up, but. Shield.

Please get one.

Please.

No Love,
The Healer

PS: Oooooooooh mister ret pally? Yeah you. YOU don't need a shield. Especially not since my baby warrior has one. "I take less damage!" is true. You also DO less damage and if you STOPPED TAUNTING you'd probably take a whole lot less damage. Like, none. I hated having to apologize to the healer on behalf of paladins everywhere.

It may be RANDOM but it's certainly NO FUN to get Occulus three times in a row.

Please die in a fire, RNG.

Tired of waiting out the 15-min timer because I'm effin' SICK OF THAT PLACE,
me

Ok so I rolled a gnome warlock and I am doing engineering. I am at the point now I have to choose what path I want to take goblin or gnomish. Can someone tell me what the difference would be between the two and would it make a difference that I am a warlock as opposed to a warrior or any other melee per say?

Guh.
Dear Female Draenei Shaman in STV,

When you danced with me I thought you were attempting to be friendly and have fun so I smiled at you.

When you emoted jiggling your breasts in my face, I didn't smile so much. That's why I got my quest and went on my merry way.

When you followed me around killing my mobs? I got a little annoyed.

When you whispered me and told me that my toon would be perfect to have a lesbian affair with and offering yourself for gold?

I reported your overtly sexual name.

You have no idea how much amusement I got out of seeing you running around the same area an hour later under a different name.

Sincerely,

That prot pally who didn't want to pay for your pixels.

Have any of you been experiencing random disconnects since 3.3?

I have tried everything... WTF/Interface folders, restarting, etc...

I don't see how it could be an issue with my modem/router since my fiancee plays on the same connection and has had zero issues, but I cycled it last night anyhow.

It seems I'm not the only one:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=21730676414&sid=1

If you are or were experiencing random DCs, how have you made it better or fixed it completely? I've tried the blue suggestions but of course no worky... and am kind of frustrated that the devs are saying it is only a "small portion" of the player base.
